Italian Consob Orders Black-Out Of Five Abusive Financial Websites!

The Italian financial watchdog Consob has ordered the blackout of five illegal online trading platforms. The number of websites blocked by Consob orders reached the round figure of 1,013 since July 2019, when the “Decreto crescita” (“Growth Decree”) gave Italien regulator the power to order ISPs to inhibit access from Italy to websites through which financial services are offered without proper authorization.

The number of websites Blocked by Consob orders reached the round figure of 1,000 since July 2019, when the "Decreto crescita" ("Growth Decree," Law No. 58 of 28 June 2019, Article No. 36, paragraph 2-terdecies) gave Italien regulator the power to order ISPs to inhibit access from Italy to websites through which financial services are offered without proper authorization.
