Against one of the scams, the Consob ordered to be blacked out FinTelegram has already issued warnings – MBInvest. All of the blocked websites are offering illegal Forex, CFD, or crypto brokerage services. It would be desirable if financial regulators in other jurisdictionswere also empowered by their parliament to block access to illegal websites.

One of the scams MBInvest is already offline, the others are the typical white-label scams, you should not fall for! It would be desirable if other regulators were also empowered by their parliament to block access to illegal websites.

This week, Consob has ordered the block-out of another five abusive financial websites. On 21 March 2022, and like clockwork, the Italian regulator issued orders to blackout six websites illegally offering financial services bringing the total number of websites blacked out since July 2019 to 657. Regulators in other regimes can only issue warnings against illegal providers. Consob can order Internet providers to block their websites for the Italian market. It would be desirable if other regulators were authorized by their legislators to issue such blackouts.
