Consob Has Ordered The Black-Out Of 5 New Financial Websites!

The Italian Consob ordered the black-out of five illegal financial websites increasing the total number of black-out orders to 713. Against three of the scams, the Consob ordered to be blacked out FinTelegram has already issued warnings – AGM Markets, GalanTrade, and FinexStocks. Both of them have been around for years already and received warnings from different financial market regulators! It would be desirable if other regulators were also empowered by their parliament to block access to illegal websites.

Consob ordered the blackout of 5 new abusive financial websites!

The Latest Warnings page of the Italian regulator Consob is down for the third week. Therefore, the warnings are currently communicated via press releases. This week, Consob has ordered the block-out of another five abusive financial websites. Consob draws investors' attention to the importance of adopting the greatest diligence in order to make informed investment choices and apply a common-sense behavior to safeguard their financial savings. Below are the websites Consob has ordered to be blacked out:

Consob Monday – Italian regulator orders blackout of seven websites!

The Italian Consob issued orders to blackout six websites illegally offering financial services. This brings the total number of websites blacked out since July 2019 to 623. Regulators in other regimes can only issue warnings against illegal providers. Consob can order Internet providers to block their websites for the Italian market. It would be desirable if other regulators were authorized by their legislators to issue such blackouts. This would be an important step in the fight against cybercrime and scams.

Consob orders the blackout of 7 illegal financial websites

On December 20, 2021, Consob issued a warning against 15 financial websites operating illegally. On December 27, the Italian regulator noted that a black-out order was also issued against the websites of these providers. In addition, Consob has issued a black-out order against the websites of seven other illegal providers. This brings the total number of websites blocked by the regulator to date to 600. Consob orders black-out of 10 illegal financial websites!

On 18 October 2021, Italian regulator Consob ordered the black-out of ten new sites illegally offering financial services to Italian consumers. Since July 2019, the Italian watchdog has blocked 532 websites for the Italian market. Consob is currently, unfortunately, the only European regulator that has this power in regulatory enforcement. It would be desirable if other jurisdictions also gave their regulators such authorization to fight scams more efficiently.
