Attention! Crypto exchange Coin Standart falsely claims to be Coinbase and FCA regulated

FCA warns against Coin Standart

Coin Standart (www.coinstandart.co.uk) sells itself as a trusted and secure crypto exchange. Most importantly, Coin Standart claims to be regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). That’s not true, the FCA notes in a warning. Instead, Coin Standart is an illegally operating financial services provider and scam that uses the license of Standish Insurance Brokers Ltd in Manchester. The website claims to have more than 3 million verified users and a trading volume of $455B+. These claims are all bullshit. Stay away.

Moreover, in the presentation on the website, Coin Standart pretends to be Coinbase and describes Coinbase‘s history as its own.

Cryptocurrencies are highly speculative assets anyway and should be avoided or used very cautiously by inexperienced investors. One should exclusively work with regulated crypto exchanges like Coinbase or Kraken as a small investor.
