New – List of scam-facilitating Estonian crypto payment processors

Digital currencies are the future in one way or another. For a few months now, online payment pioneer PayPal has also been accepting bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. Estonia is currently the epicenter of European crypto payment processors. As of mid-2020, the Estonian FIU had issued more than 3,000 licenses (report here). Unfortunately, many of them are used to facilitate scams and illegal payment services. We have drafted a list of Estonian crypto payment companies that have come to our attention in scams.

According to its website, the scam is allegedly operated by Chamber (Holdings) Pty Ltd in Australia, which has a license from ASCI for Australia. We doubt that this company is actually the operator of ChamberFX but rather a clone. In the terms, UK is stated as applicable law, where this clone might be operated. Broker scams LincolnFX, ZurixCorp, and its payment processors

The UK watchdog FCA and the Spanish regulator CNMV issued investor warnings against the scam broker LincolnFX operated by Lincolnfx.capital Ltd. It's still online on August 5, 2020. The FinTelegram Research team has received documents from some of the scam's victims and thus has taken a closer look. Consequently, facilitating payment processors like Plus Exchange or Titan Payments as well as interesting connections have been identified.
