FinTelegram has already issued several warnings against the aggressive scam broker MilleniumOne. Nevertheless, the broker keeps finding new victims. In a cautionary tale about the dangers of online investment and trading platforms, a 69-year-old retiree in Spain has tragically lost nearly €200,000 to this sophisticated trading scam. This story underscores the pressing need for potential retail investors to exercise extreme caution when considering online investment opportunities.
Fake Celebrity News
It’s imperative to steer clear of unregistered and unauthorized providers. The unfortunate tale revolves around a man, pseudonymously referred to as Iñaki. Drawn in by an online article claiming tennis star Rafa Nadal‘s success with the financial platform MilleniumOne, Iñaki naively pre-registered on their website. The platform asked for extensive personal details, including photos of his ID and other documents.Initially, he invested €250.

To his astonishment, his investment seemed to grow by 3-5% daily. Soon after, an account manager (boiler room agent) contacted him, coaxing Iñaki to invest more substantial sums, using persuasive tactics and exploiting remote access to Iñaki’s computer. The agent’s manipulative strategies escalated, culminating in Iñaki transferring a staggering €90,000 to a Lithuanian bank.
More fabricated reasons for additional funds surfaced, with Iñaki being pushed to deposit even more money to supposedly align with European Central Bank requirements and other fictitious excuses.
No Funds But Threats
Desperate to see a return on his substantial investments, Iñaki took out bank loans, ultimately sending money to various international banks. But, when he finally grew suspicious and sought to communicate with his presumed account manager, the scammer became elusive. Iñaki’s attempts to reclaim his funds were met with threats, and he was coerced into withdrawing a fraud complaint he had filed.
Despite the efforts of local law enforcement, only a fraction of Iñaki’s money has been recovered from a Lithuanian bank. The tragic outcome? “I have been left without my life savings, and it seems nearly impossible to get them back,” laments Iñaki. This harrowing account serves as a stark warning: always verify the legitimacy of investment companies.
