The P2B Compliance Check
A Similarweb analysis shows that more than 5.1 million people visited the P2B website in the last 28 days before our review. This means that P2B attracts about as many people to its website as the US crypto exchange Kraken. By comparison, the Binance and Coinbase websites were visited by more than 44 million and 24 million people, respectively, in the last 28 days.
Partida UAB d/b/a P2B is registered in Lithuania as a crypto service business and can therefore be active in other jurisdictions of the EU via passporting. In the P2B terms, the competent jurisdiction is United Kingdom, which seems strange because none of the operating companies is registered there.
In our compliance check on October 31, 2023, we were able to register with P2B without any issues. Even without a KYC check, we were able to make unlimited deposits via the Russian payment processor Advcash.
As partners for credit card payments, P2B has connected MoonPay and Simplex (by Nuvei). Also with credit/debit card, pre-KYC purchases of cryptocurrencies were possible up to $12,000 with MoonPay and $20,000 with Simplex.
Unlimited pre-KYC deposits would have been equally possible via cryptocurrencies.
We added P2B to our Orange Compliance list because of its KYC issuances.
