Stay Alerted! UK Consumers Lost £25 Million With Screen Sharing!

Online trading scams use AnyDesk or TeamViewer to access their victims' screens and get access to their bank accounts or wallets to transfer their funds. Screen sharing is a super dangerous feature in principle and consumers should be super cautious when sharing their screens. A new FCA research has found that 47% of investors would fail to identify a screen-sharing scam. Screen sharing scam cases increased by 86% in one year, with 2,014 cases and over £25 million in losses.

Urgent warning against FinTelegram imposters!

Currently, scammers are attacking victims with email addresses such as [email protected] and AnyDesk user names that give the impression that they are from FinTelegram. The scammers claim that they are from FinTelegram. And they could get back the money lost in scams. Please do not fall for them. These are the same scammers the victims lost the money to before. We do not contact victims with fund recovery offers.

Plutus Racket Update – German BaFin launched investigations

German regulator BaFin today announced investigations into Plutus Racket. BaFin is unfortunately not known for being particularly active or competent but at least it is a first step in the fight against this racket. The Plutus Racket is the operator of a vast network of scams such as Plutus, PlutusPro, Lucrum, LucrumPro, Galore, or Celox. The racket and its scams are facilitated by several payment processors like Praxis Cashier, BitTheBank, XChangePro, and Polish Sales Master Z.O.O. Behind all these scam brands are the same boiler rooms in Bulgaria and the Balkans.

Investor Warning – Be aware of the crypto fraud in scam broker environments

Starling Bank recently announced that they are suspending the deposit of funds to crypto exchanges such as Payward Ltd d/b/a Kraken (www.kraken.com). Banks and fintechs have "observed high levels of illegal activity" related to crypto exchanges. Welcome to the new reality. We have testimonials from victims showing how ID theft and bank fraud works. Scammers use either victims' KYC records or AnyDesk to open accounts there in their name and then receive deposits from them. The money is then gone. Kraken refuses to refund the victims.

Investor Alert – 27ProQuote successor scam proFXCredit

We have already warned several times about the broker scam 27ProQuote (a/k/a ProQuote27). This was active until a few weeks ago and has defrauded many victims of probably several million euros. Deposits of the customer-victims were also processed via the Maltese ApcoPay (see FinTelegram report here). We have received information that the same scammers are now operating the proFXCredit scam under the domain www.profxcredit.com via a Lacari Group Ltd. Currently, we are still investigating but warn all investors against proFXCredit.
