On April 12, 2024, the Italian financial watchdog Consob ordered the blackout of seven illegal online trading platforms. The number of websites blocked by Consob orders reached the round figure of 1,060 since July 2019, when the “Decreto crescita” (“Growth Decree”) gave the Italien regulator the power to order ISPs to inhibit access from Italy to websites through which financial services are offered without proper authorization.

Below are the sites Consob has ordered to be blacked out:

  • GMT with websites www.gmtdirect.com, www.gmtplatform.com, and www.gmtcapitals.com ;
  • Capitalpartners24 with website https://capitalpartners24.com;
  • FP Invest with website www.fpinvest247.io;
  • Smart Limited Group with website https://smart-limited-group.com;
  • Stockcptls with website https://stockcptls.com.

The number of sites blacked out since July 2019, when Consob was given the power to order the black-out of websites of fraudulent financial intermediaries, has thus risen to 1060.
