Spread financial intelligence

In recent days, likely thousands of consumers have received emails from a Hans Wagner, Operating Officer at the International Authority of Financial Investigation (IAFI). These emails report the arrest of 20 people in Cyprus and the seizure of data. The data of the (potential) victims would have included your data. You are therefore requested to report to the IAFI investigators via a link sent along. There is, of course, no such authority. Stay far away and keep your financial health.

Dear Canadian citizen,

I hope this email finds you well.

This is the Operating Officer, reaching out on behalf of the International Authority of Financial Investigation.

It has come to our attention that your personal information is being misused by companies which are classified as fraudulent. On the same token, we have irrefutable and ample evidence that you have fallen victim to online fraud.

Working closely with local authorities, we managed to arrest more than twenty persons in Cyprus. Those persons were directly or indirectly involved in this criminal activity. Alongside the arrest, we managed to seize a device containing a database with the information of the persons who were either already scammed or were considered as potential victims to their activity. Your information was located on the aforementioned database as well.

Please, confirm your availability to cooperate with the authorities in regard to this case as soon as possible.

You can: get in touch with us by visiting our website and schedule an appointment regarding your case.

Sincerely,

Hans Wagner,

Operating Officer – IAFI
