German payment processor PPRO announced that its Board had elevated its Chief Commercial Officer, Motie Bring (LinkedIn), to the position of Chief Executive Officer, effective from 2 Oct 2023. Motie will succeed the outgoing CEO, Simon Black, who had previously declared his intention to step down. This decision comes after a thorough internal and external search process overseen by the Board in recent months.
PPRO Group was founded by Philipp Nieland and Tobias Schreyer in Munich in 2012 and operates its business through various entities in different jurisdictions. In the UK, PPRO has an EMI license from the FCA.
With over twenty years in the payments sector, Bring is a respected figure, having held several top-tier roles with global entities. His accomplishments include spearheading growth, business transformations, and delivering value to both customers and partners.
Before he joined the German payment processor in early 2323, Motie held significant leadership roles at Worldpay and was the Chief Commercial Officer at the payment tech firm Nuvei.
Lázaro Campos, Chairman of the PPRO Board, remarked, “Motie’s dedication to customers, vast knowledge of payments, and his consistent success in nurturing and leading teams make him the perfect candidate to steer PPRO into its next phase.“
