Important disclosure: We have often seen scammers and cybercrime activists publishing articles on fake websites that they copy from FinTelegram. They backdate the publication date and make a DMCA complaint to our hoster. It is not difficult for us to prove that the content was created by us. However, we take such nonsense as a reason to republish the articles as in the case of AnzoFX a/k/a Anzo Capital.

We issued the first warning against the offshore broker AnzoFX a/k/a Anzo Capital in January 2022. The offshore broker is regulated in Belize by the International Financial Services Commission (IFSC). The broker offers trading in Forex, precious metals, and CFDs with leverage of up to 1:1000 to clients in Europe and worldwide (excluding Japan and the U.S.). AnzoFX is a part of the Australian Focus Markets Pty Ltd, which ASIC regulates. The broker is professionally managed with proper KYC procedures. Nevertheless, its offer is illegal in Europe and violates ESMA regulatory rules. Be very careful!

The narrative

In Australia, Anzo Capital Group is the trading name of Focus Markets Pty Ltd, regulated by ASIC with AFSL number 514425. For its offshore activities, Anzo Capital works with Anzo Capital Limited in Belize, regulated by the International Financial Services Commission (IFSC). Two more offshore entities, Focus Markets LLC and Anzo Capital (SVG) LLC are stated on some of the websites as operators.

Regulation in Australia or Belize does not entitle Anzo Capital Group to offer regulated financial services in the ESMA regimes or the UK. In the ESMA regimes, brokers are allowed to offer a maximum leverage of 1:30 CFDs. Anzo Capital Group, however, offers its clients leverage of up to 1:1000.

On the positive side, we noted that no deposits are possible without full KYC with ID and residential address verification. However, this does not change the illegality of the offer in Europe.
