The Spanish regulator CNMV issued 14 new warnings against websites offering regulated financial products without permission. Some of the warned scams and their operators like BTC-Markets or SwissFXM we know and have issued warnings in the past. We will take a closer look at the other warned providers and bring detailed reports soon. It is always interesting for our research team to compare the regulators’ findings with ours. Below is the list of new warnings.
The warning site of the Italian regulator Consob has not been available over the last 10 days without any reasons given. In a press release, Consob informed that it has ordered the blackout of n new nine websites that offer financial services/financial products illegally. Eight of them are illegal financial intermediation websites and one website through which an offer of financial products is carried out in the absence of a prospectus. Most of the scams the Consob ordered to be blacked-out we have already warned against.
The last two weeks, probably due to vacations or Covid19, Consob did not make the Monday announcements about the blackout of websites of illegally acting financial service providers. These Consob Mondays have been usual for months. Today, the Italian regulator ordered the blackout of 10 illegal financial service providers. Unfortunately, Consob is currently the only EU regulator granted by national law the competence for such a blackout. An EU-wide solution would be appropriate, wouldn't it?
The TradesRun broker has been operated under several domains by several offshore entities such as Evergo Ltd, Marshall Islands. So were 24tradex and BGold Capital scams. However, these offshore companies are always fake. The truth is, that these scams are operated by the Albanian boiler room of 3 FID Tech (a/k/a 3fidtech), owned by the Albanian Brisilda Duraku, who is also the (former?) beneficial owner of Global-Tech DOO in Belgrade. This boiler room company is the criminal entity behind many scams such as Brokerz, Tradixa a/k/a Tradi-Xa, Globalixx, Golden-CFD, and many more.
The Italian Financial Market Authority Consob is the only regulator in the EU that has the power to block websites of unauthorized financial service providers and scams as a means of regulatory enforcement action. The black-out of the respective website is intended to prevent Italian consumers from accessing these offers and being cheated. On November 9, 2020, Consob ordered the black-out of another five websites.
