The regulators are currently taking strict action against crypto transactions. Regulators in the US and UK in particular are taking massive action against unregistered crypto providers, including Binance, which currently do not have a license in the US or UK, have already noticed this. In Oct 2023, the UK FCA issued a warning against Bitfinex, the group associated with the stablecoin Tether.
The warning against Bitfinex was issued by the FCA on October 27, 2023 and supplemented with additional information on November 15, 2023.
Tether (USDT) is a cryptocurrency stablecoin, is operated by Tether International Limited and Tether Limited. in 2014. Tether Limited is allegdly owned by the Hong Kong-based company iFinex Inc., which also owns the crypto exchange Bitfinex (www.bitfinex.com).
