Interesting Reading: Who Controls China-Related Crypto Exchange Huobi?

The Hong Kong-based investment firm About Capital Management (ACM) announced in early October 2022 that it had acquired Huobi, a crypto exchange founded by Leon Li in China in 2013. The acquisition was orchestrated by Justin Sun, the founder of TRON and Poloniex. Sun assumed a position on the Huobi Global Advisory Board but said that he did not hold any controlling ownership of Huobi. In May 2023, ACM said it no longer controls Huobi; its current owners are still unknown!

WeWork CFO Andre Fernandez Resigns Just Days After The CEO Announced Departure!

Troubled co-working space provider WeWork announced that its CFO, Andre Fernandez, will resign on June 1. This comes less than a year after assuming the role and shortly after the departure of the company's top executive, Sandeep Mathrani. Kurt Wehner, the Chief Accounting Officer who joined WeWork in October 2020, will take over as CFO. Wehner brings prior experience as the accounting chief at the media firm Discovery.

Before joining BDSwiss, he had a three-year tenure as s senior business development executive for the Africa region at HFM, previously known as HotForex. Fylaktou will work in BDSwiss offices in Cyprus.

This week, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that Mellissa Campbell Duru has been named Deputy Director for Legal and Regulatory Policy in the Division of Corporation Finance. She was most recently a Special Counsel at Covington & Burling LLP. Before that, she spent over 15 years in various SEC roles.

Former Bitpanda CFO Peter Grausgruber Joins Dutch RegTech Fourthline!

The former CFO of Vienna-based crypto exchange Bitpanda, Peter Grausgruber, is moving to Dutch regtech Fourthline, a company co-founded by the disgraced Payvision founder Rudolf Booker. Fourthline has announced the appointment of Peter Grausgruber as CFO of the provider of KYC and AML solutions. Grausgruber joined Bitpanda in 2019 and has guided the company through several financing rounds.

After months of speculation about his future on the Management Board of Deutsche Bank, Karl von Rohr, one of the two deputies of Deutsche Bank CEO Christian Sewing, is leaving the institute after more than a quarter of a century. Bank of Valletta’s Chief Risk Officer Miguel Borg Resigns

Malta’s Bank of Valletta (BOV) has announced the resignation of Chief Risk Officer and Executive Director Miguel Borg. The announcement states that the resignation is effective from 5th April 2023. “The Bank is putting into place its succession plan for the positions of Chief Risk Officer and Executive Director,” it said. “There are no matters concerning Borg that warrant any disclosure in terms of the Capital Markets Rules.”

RIP! Cash App Creator Bob Lee Stabbed To Death In San Francisco!

Bob Lee, the 43-year-old former chief technology officer of Square who helped launch Cash App, has died after an apparent stabbing attack. Video footage shows that he walked up an empty San Francisco street in the early hours of Tuesday, gripping his side with one hand and his cell phone in the other, leaving a trail of blood behind him. "Help!" he screamed into his phone. "Someone stabbed me." It was too late. He later died in the hospital!
