On May 3, 2024, the Italian financial watchdog Consob ordered the blackout of five illegal online trading platforms. The number of websites blocked by Consob orders reached the round figure of 1,075 since July 2019, when the “Decreto crescita” (“Growth Decree”) gave the Italien regulator the power to order ISPs to inhibit access from Italy to websites through which financial services are offered without proper authorization.
Below are the websites Consob has ordered to be blacked out:
- CFD Active with website https://cfdactive.com;
- High BTC Stock with website www.highbtcstock.com;
- TRADEONTOP Limited with website https://tradeontop.net;
- Xtrader365 with website https://www.xtrader365.com;
- Shellinvestments with website https://shellinvestment.net.
The number of websites blacked out since July 2019, when Consob got the power to order that the websites of fraudulent financial intermediaries be blacked out, has thus risen to 1075.
