Spanish CNMV issues warning against PrimeBit crypto trading platform

CNMV warns against PrimeBit
Spread financial intelligence

The Spanish regulator CNMV has issued a warning against the self-proclaimed P2P crypto trading platform PrimeBit (www.primebit.com). This is allegedly operated by PrimeBit Ltd, registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. There you can trade the USD against BTC, ETH, and LTC. Customers can only deposit Bitcoin (BTC) and Tether (USDT) there. If you don’t have any cryptocurrencies to deposit, the crypto exchange Changelly (www.changelly.com) is suggested for you to buy. PrimeBit seems to be a scam to us.

We have not found evidence that PrimeBit is actually a decentralized peer-to-peer (P2P) crypto trading platform. Rather, based on our review, we believe that PrimeBit is simply a plain broker scam banking on the crypto hype. There is no evidence that PrimeBit is even connected to any trading system. There is no identity verification at all during the registration process. You can register with Facebook and Google and immediately deposit BTC and USDT.
